About this fencing referral service
Wollert Fencing is a fencing referral website run by Yes Right Pty Ltd. How enquiries are passed on, who quotes and builds, and how to check a fencer.
Wollert Fencing takes enquiries about boundary, pool, gate and repair work in Wollert and the neighbouring suburbs across the City of Whittlesea and Hume. Yes Right Pty Ltd, ABN 91 664 546 061, owns and operates Wollert Fencing.
Nobody here digs post holes. The site does not build fences, employs no fencers, holds no building practitioner registration and keeps no stock of sheets, posts or palings. It also publishes no reviews and no photos of finished jobs, and any picture you see shows the type of fence being discussed rather than a job that came through this site.
From fence enquiry to quote
- Use the quote form to tell us your suburb, how to reach you and what the fence job is: the material, the rough length and height, and whether an old fence is coming out.
- We may send those details on to an independent fencing business that covers your part of the northern suburbs, so it can contact you.
- The fencer decides whether to take the job on. Before giving a price it might want photos of the boundary, measurements or a look on site.
- Accepting a quote creates an agreement between you and that fencer. This website is not a party to it.
Sending the form does not book a fencer or reserve a day. A fencer may not be free, and nobody can say how quickly one will reply. If a fence has fallen across a footpath or road, or a pool has been left without a barrier, deal with the safety risk first instead of waiting on the form.
What the fencer you hire is responsible for
The independent fencer you deal with is responsible for its quote, the scope of work, the price, payment terms, materials, workmanship, safety on site, any permit it agrees to arrange, and any warranty it offers. Before you agree, ask for the scope in writing, including the fence length and height, post type, removal of the old fence, gates and hardware, clean-up and how changes will be priced.
Checking a fencer’s registration in Victoria
Victoria generally counts fencing as domestic building work. The Victorian Building Authority was replaced on 1 July 2025, and fence registrations are now handled by the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC). Once a domestic job goes over the contract price threshold the BPC publishes, the work has to be done by a registered building practitioner. Fencers can hold a limited Domestic Builder registration that covers only the construction of gates and fences, and pool and spa work has a registration class of its own.
Ways to check the fencer quoting your job:
- Use the BPC’s Find and check a practitioner search. You can look up a person or business name, a registration number or a location, and the result shows whether the registration is current, what work it covers and any conditions on it.
- From that search page, follow the link to the Compliance and Enforcement Register to see whether the fencer has any published disciplinary action or prosecution.
- On a bigger contract, ask if Home Warranty insurance is required. The BPC’s insurance for domestic building work page says the registered builder pays the premium on an eligible project and the owner gets a Notice of Cover.
- An old fibro fence that might contain asbestos has to come down as a separate job, done by a licensed asbestos removalist. WorkSafe Victoria regulates that work.
Below the BPC threshold, a fencer does not have to be registered to build a small fence. For those jobs, look up the business’s ABN, ask to see its public liability cover and ask for a couple of recent local references.
Neighbours and shared fences
Most fences in Wollert, Mernda, Epping, Craigieburn and Donnybrook are dividing fences shared with a neighbour. The Dispute Settlement Centre of Victoria explains the Fencing Notice process and cost sharing, and our service pages, starting with Colorbond fencing and timber paling fences, cover the practical side. The Wollert fencing cost guide lists published price ranges and what to look for in a quote.
Contact and privacy
If you have a question about your fencing enquiry, or about the personal details you gave us, reply to any message you get about that enquiry and it will reach the website operator. Our privacy policy sets out what the quote form collects and how those details go to a fencer. When you are ready, open the fencing quote form.
